I wanted to work in the medical profession and dentistry offered an opportunity to use your hands in what you do. In dentistry it’s still possible to have a closer relationship with your patients where you can take ownership of your patient’s care and help them kind of from start to finish to see everything through where in general medicine it feels like you run from room to room to room to room and there’s not a you never develop a relationship and there’s really no ownership to the care that you’re giving. Long term I feel like we can develop good relationships with people and then kind of see them whether it’s kids growing up and getting comfortable or patients that come in that have a lot of needs and helping them to achieve that smile that they really really want.
Seeing a lot of people with a lot of anxiety that will come in and getting them comfortable to where we can kind of put some of their fears aside and help them work through it to get the care that they need.
